Hillside on Lombok’s south coast
Tampah Hills is situated just 30 minutes from Lombok’s international airport, in front of the untouched white sand beach of Tampah Bay. Surf spots for all level surfers are in close vicinity, as well as golf courses, restaurants, fishing, diving and other activities. The area is safe and secure and the high position makes it naturally protected from potential tsunamis, although Lombok is outside of the areas that has seen tsunamis.
Lombok has long been known as “the next Bali”, offering untouched green, luscious hills with some of the most beautiful white sand beaches of Indonesia. The south coast has been an under-the-radar surfers paradise for the last 10-15 years and is only just now getting the attention it deserves.
Although Lombok now sees fast development, including the international airport and an extensive network of roads and infrastructure, there is a big awareness among the local communities and government, investors and developers to support responsible development and keep some of the pristine environments that make Lombok unique.
